Huskies Hire New Head Coach

The Frankford Huskies are pleased to announce the signing of Matt Goody as our Head Coach. Matt is a native of Brighton and is now a resident of Trenton. He was a popular Trenton Sting player from 1999 to 2003 who went on to play professional from 2003 to 2008.

 

Matt has recently coached Quinte and Greater Kingston AAA teams following being Head Coach of 3 Schmaltz Cup finalists in Port Hope from 2015 to 2017. With Port Hope, he teamed with current Huskie G.M., Ian Green. After his Port Hope experience, Matt joined the Napanee Raiders as Assistant Coach of their Schmaltz Champion team in 2019.

 

Director of Hockey Operations for the Huskies, Frank Robinson, states that “we feel very fortunate to obtain the services of Matt as our Head Coach. His Coaching experience will be of great assistance to the Huskies.”

 

In the meantime, the Huskies wish previous Coach Pat Shearer good luck in his future endeavours.
